Could you help us grow the movement?

We’re on a mission to make outdoor play and learning part of every day. But we can’t do it alone – we need you! Could you spread the word and help to grow the movement?

Whether you’ve got five minutes or a full day, there is something you can do! Here are some ideas to get you started.

Five minutes

If you only have five minutes, please like and share a post on one of our social channels

Fifteen minutes

If you have a bit longer, why not publish your own social media post? Here is some text you can use and adapt…

I’m so proud to be part of the #OutdoorClassroomDay movement! If YOU believe that time outdoors is critical to children’s health, wellbeing and development, sign up today! www.outdoorclassroomday.com

88% of teachers surveyed for #OutdoorClassroomDay said that children are happier after playing outdoors. That’s why I’m proud to be part of the Outdoor Classroom Day movement, which advocates for more time outdoors EVERY day! Join the community at: www.outdoorclassroomday.com #tagateacher

For more statistics, see our Playtime matters and Muddy hands reports.

One hour

If you have an hour or two, add one of these banners to your blog, website or e-newsletter to show your support for the campaign and encourage others to get involved. If you have enough space, add this standard web copy as well.

If you are a parent of school-aged children, use this letter to ask their school to sign up and see if they would like you to help out on the day. Why not take your children outside after school on the day as well?

Half a day

If you have somewhere to publish your thoughts, such as a blog or a news feed, why not use Outdoor Classroom Day as the focus of your next piece? Use our template blog post and logo to bring it to life.

Full day or longer

Most organisations and individuals want to support the campaign because it fits with their own aims and ethos. If you can build communications about the campaign into your ongoing schedule, why not do all the above and show how Outdoor Classroom Day links with your own work? Don’t forget to tag us and use #OutdoorClassroomDay on social media – we’ll support and share wherever possible.

Thank you!
