Technology and the outdoor classroom

2nd February 2017

“I have a ‘need’ to be outdoors and with worries over the amount of screen time that pupils are subjected to, I feel passionately about providing these opportunities for today’s students,” says Matt Warney in his latest blog.

The Outdoor Classroom Day team met up with Matt at BETT 2017, the education and technology trade show. He passionately told us that he is both the Head of Computing and IT and the Forest School leader at CAS Worcester Computing Hub.

He was eager to balance his tech vs outdoor equilibrium and immediately signed up his school to Outdoor Classroom Day and encouraged others to do the same.

Read why Matt will be fully supporting Outdoor Classroom Day on 18 May 2017 on his wonderful blog.

If you believe in outdoor learning and play being an essential part of a child’s day, get involved too!
