Hedgehog habitats

Investigate hedgehog habitats through poetry with this great learning resource from Sustainable Learning. Identify how animals and plants have adapted to suit their environments and how this may lead to evolution.

Children will learn about this species’ struggle to survive in the city and how the hedgehog population is in dramatic decline. Short and snappy, it’s a great accompaniment to any science lesson about living things and their habitats, as well as great inspiration for creative writing. Why not challenge your class to compose their own hedgehog poems too?
